State-of-the-art technologies and tools
Thanks to advanced technologies and tools available to our developers, Uniscope's information supply chain management solutions are helping our customers optimize their business processes.
Uniscope systems are designed and built using the best-of-breed technologies and tools to ensure that you receive the optimal solution to your business requirements. Our design and implementation skills are anchored in the disciplined use of international modeling, programming and testing standards, backed up by proven methodologies and flexible project management.
All Uniscope solutions are developed using our rigorous Model-Build-Test-Deploy paradigm to guarantee the timely delivery of quality products within budgetary constraints.
Design and modeling
Uniscope is firmly committed to the use of the UML for the design and modeling of complex business information management and distribution processes. The company uses an advanced UML-aware development environment to provide seamless transitions from the initial requirements documentation, design and approvals—through modeling, implementation and testing—to the deployment of a production system and its follow-on support cycle. Our interactions during each phase are presented in a WYSIWYG environment that lets you verify each part of your system's functionality as it takes shape.
Development frameworks and programming
Our systems are built on top of the JBoss application framework, a powerful Java-based environment featuring outstanding performance and proven reliability. Complementing JBoss is the power of the J2EE, the de facto standard for developing component-based multi-tier enterprise applications. Other workhorses in Uniscope's implementation toolbox include C++ and C, and a variery of scripting languages for rapid prototyping. Also, the XML and its related standards are indispensable tools for information manipulation and processing.
Uniscope embraces many of the concepts proven by XP to manage and troubleshoot development projects. XP methodologies not only give Uniscope's engineers the flexibility to prioritize the implementation of system functionality in response to your requirements, but also the frameworks for testing thoroughly and thereby catching potential defects early. XP methodologies stimulate evolution—in design and implementation—ensuring that your systems will have the vigor to support your business for as long as they are deployed.
Deployment and support
System deployment marks the start of a cycle that is designed to support, modify and enhance the functionality of your system throughout its working life.
Typically our in-production systems are supported by dedicated teams whose mission is to provide the after-care needed to ensure that all software functions in accordance with your requirements. Our teams are augmented by other area specialists, as needed, to perform modifications or to develop new functionality. All updates are tested rigorously—as in pre-deployment systems—before being released into production.
In addition, we provide clear user documentation and thorough briefings to our customers' business and technical staff before deployment, and also upon the installation of modifications or enhancements. Thus your personnel are confident and in full control of your systems during critical transitions.
